  • Without content fluff of pop-psychology or character-building activities that don't work

  • So YOU can become a leader worth following

  • AND finally create a winning culture that student athletes LOVE to be a part of

Would you take me up on it?

YES IT’S FOR REAL.

YES time is of the essence as the next session begins Fall 2023 and you only have your student athletes for four years!

My name is Jeremy Boone and I have been a sports performance & leadership development coach for over twenty six years at every level of sport.

Over the past few years alone I've worked with over 15,000 Athletic Directors, coaches, club coaches, and student athletes just like you all over the United States helping them become bolder, braver, and better leaders.

In addition, I've hosted and facilitated the Desire To Lead™ program in high schools for close to a decade.

And while before CoVid-19 high schools and clubs would pay to have their athletic programs participate in my leadership development programs, I am now on a mission to give back and do something that's never been done before...

Which is to bring together thousands of AD's, coaches, club coaches, and student athletes from around the country who have a desire to lead and create a much needed engaging learning community to help change the way athletes experience sports and make our future better

Now is the time for us all to pour into today's teenagers...

In fact, they need you now more than ever before and I would love for your program to be next in letting me help you, your coaching staff, and your student athletes become better leaders!

Here’s what people are saying...

Below are just a few of the world's best athletes and leaders in sports who have used the same principles and frameworks that you and your student athletes will learn:

Does This Sound Like You?

  • Your Sports program has been negatively affected due to CoVid19 and you need to get it back on track now
  • You currently don't have a student athlete leadership program
  • YOU would benefit from providing a leadership development program in your school/club
  • You currently have a leadership program but would like something more interactive and consistent
  • You recognize that providing a leadership development experience for your program would help to build positive momentum and improve mental health

High School Sports Needs Leaders Now More Than Ever Before...

And Here's How To Build Them.

The Desire To Lead™ program focuses solely on one thing...

MAKE YOUNG MEN AND WOMEN BETTER LEADERS!  In other words, creating more impact, become someone that others want to follow, and make your future and the future of those that follow you better. More than just a 'character building' and 'do the right thing' approach, here are some examples of what we will cover:

  • A definition of leadership that can be used in EVERY area of life (and NO it's not just about influence)
  • How to make better decisions that get better results
  • How to speak with more impact, influence, and persuasion
  • How to immediately build trust and reliability
  • Why being COMMITTED isn’t enough to accomplish your mission
  • How to protect your mission and hold others accountable the right way
  • Why you need a mindset of 'Beyond Winning'
  • How to think like Leaders who have REAL impact
  • How to have difficult conversations with your teammates, coaches, and family
  • What happens when you 'live behind a label' and how to breakthrough to be a magnetic leader
  • How YOU can learn to lead others and make the most of the STUDENT ATHLETE EXPERIENCE even if you're not a senior
  • Why CHASING CONFIDENCE can keep you from being your best... and what to do instead
  • Plus more!!!

"I now know how to say what I want to say as a leader to best help my team."

HS Sophomore

"Coach Boone helped me better understand why I have to be the one to take ownership of the story I want to tell and help my teammates tell."

HS Senior

"I feel much more courageous in speaking up and don't have to feel like I don't deserve a voice just because I 'm an underclassman."

HS Junior

NOW IS THE TIME TO GIVE BACK...

"I first started implementing the Desire To Lead™ program in high schools and clubs almost a decade ago focusing on developing Athletic Directors, coaches, and student athletes in a workshop style format.

Now that online learning is the next normal, I wanted to give back to schools and use this program to not only equip and empower student athletes, but more importantly address and combat depression, anxiety, frustration, etc. that so many are feeling." - Jeremy Boone

Jerome Singleton, Sr

Former President Executive Board of

Directors- National Federation of High Schools

On the impact on student athlete leaders...

I have personally been involved with Jeremy’s message and program for what it takes to build a winning culture, develop emerging leaders, and to be greater than average in everything you do. This program will benefit every coach and student athlete in the United States preparing them for anything life puts in their path beyond high school.

Terry Fritch

Director of Coaching

SwimMac Charlotte, NC

6 x National Champions

On the impact of becoming a better leader

Jeremy's knowledge, guidance, resources, style, and feedback have been invaluable.  I would not be as successful in leading our organization and staff without his continuing efforts to challenge me and make me grow.  Jeremy has a gift that I have been very fortunate to experience and learn from.  Since he has been working with our staff our culture has gotten stronger, our coaching of athletes better, and relationships have improved across the board...all necessary in helping us accomplish our mission.

Masanori Toguchi Jr

Charlotte Country Day School- AD

NC Athletic Director's Association- Former President

2019 NCADA High School AD of the Year

On the impact of personal growth...

Jeremy has helped shaped my lens as a leader in the position of Athletic Director.  He has challenged me as a professional and as a person and isn’t afraid to be honest.  As an educator, I have seen growth in my leadership because of Jeremy’s program.  I look forward to continuing this opportunity in the future.

So What's The Catch?

Great question!

There isn't one as far as helping your student athletes become better leaders.

As I mentioned in the video, we all need to do our part to chip in and help.  This is a way to help you as an Athletic Director, strength coach, head coach, club coach, and help your student athletes.

What doesn't work is bringing in a motivational speaker for your program as a one time event and think that's actually going to make a transformational change in your student athletes!

They need to see it modeled by YOU and go on the journey along with you if becoming a better leader is truly going to stick.

With that said, here is the overview of the Desire To Lead™ program...

Program Overview
  • 10 High School Student Athletes from each school plus the Athletic Director or group leader (required)
  • Volleyball/Soccer/Lacrosse/Baseball/Softball U16/U17/U18 teams boys and girls
  • NEW!!  The Desire To Lead program will be housed all in a mobile app (teen friendly!)
  • NEW! Live Online Event format using our native in-house platform (strict security measures in place)
  • Practical application exercises to build leadership skills
  • 'Connection Point' opportunity to interact with other high schools across the country
  • 'Better Together' Community Service Project opportunity
  • The next Desire To Lead™ Program begins Fall 2023
  • Specific details and requirements are provided in the FAQ below

What age group is this program for?

DTL is ideally for rising sophomores and juniors.  The reason is that incoming freshmen are typically shell shocked their first year in high school, and seniors are typically focused on figuring out their next steps after graduation.  However, if you feel you have a freshmen or senior who would benefit from DTL please include this in your application process.

What are the dates of the program?

Fall 2023 dates will be announced June 1, 2023

What are the student athlete requirements?

To attend all Monday evening sessions and Thursday evening sessions if possible.

This is an incredible opportunity to learn and grow with other like-minded student athlete's, and therefore the expectation is all participants show up in the online meetings with their video on, dressed appropriately, and provide an engaging experience.

* Due to the number of expected participants only a select few will be 'visible 'to all.  However, throughout the live session Jeremy brings on as many athlete's as possible for all to see and hear.

What is 'Connection Point™'?

Connection Point™ is a unique value-add to the DTL program and is an opportunity on Thursday evenings for athletes to sign-up and have a 'meet and greet' type experience.  This is one of the student athlete's favorite parts of DTL as they get to connect with other student athletes from around the country!

Further details are found in the application.

Is 100% attendance mandatory?

100% attendance is preferred but not mandatory.

All student athletes are required to attend AT MINIMUM the Monday night group calls at 8pm eastern as well as the weekly group meeting at their school/club hosted by the Group Leader.

We of course understand that there may be an unexpected event, game, or circumstance that may come up.  It is up to the Group Leader's discretion as to whether the student athlete can miss.

SCHOOLS- What if I don't have 10 to participate?

We recognize that there are some schools with small student populations and therefore have limited numbers of sports participation.

If this describes your sports program, we require a minimum of two boys and two girls in order to participate.

Will there be different program times for East/West Coast?

Currently we are scheduled for the weekly group calls to only be held on Monday @ 9pm EASTERN.  We look to add a later Monday evening time to accommodate for those on the west coast beginning FALL 2023.

What are the Group Leader requirements?

The way that your athletes will experience sports is the way that they experience YOU and your staff.  We believe in the 'model what you expect' philosophy and therefore ask the following:

-Attend all Monday evening LIVE group calls

- Host a 'live' student athlete meeting once per week at your school/club.  More details on this in the application

What is the cost of the program?

The full investment to participate in DTL is $1,000.

BONUS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Every student athlete that attends all sessions, is active in the online community, and participates in the community service projects will receive a surprise bonus valued at $595!

What all does the program include?

DTL includes the following specific design elements to ensure the best learning experience possible for both the Group Leaders and the student athlete leaders:

- Monthly Live Group Call

- Monthly 'on site' group meeting led by the group leader at their school/club facility

- Opportunity to participate in Connection Point (see FAQ)

- Participation in the 'Better Together Project' (see FAQ)

- Access to the DTL Online Community

- Access to the DTL Online Curriculum

- Continuing Education/Professional Development for the group leader (Athletic Director/Coach)

What is the 'Better Together Project'?

BETTER TOGETHER is the name of the community service projects throughout DTL.

For the combined Fall 2022-Spring 2023 program there will be two community service opportunities for all participants...

1.  For the Fall 2022 session the community service project will be internally focused at the school/club and completed by December 5, 2022.

2.  For the Spring 2023 session the community service project will be externally focused (beyond your campus/facility) and completed by the last date of DTL held on Monday, April 3, 2023.

Note: This is THE MOST POWERFUL part of DTL as it challenges all participants to apply what they've learned and make their communities better.

More details are found in the application.

SCHOOLS- What if I have more than 10 to participate?

If you have more than 10 student athletes that you would like to have participate, please contact us at support @ winningleader.com

Can student athletes repeat the program?

We recommend that student athletes DO NOT repeat participation in DTL, as this prevents an opportunity for another student athlete to experience the DTL experience for the first time.

However, we do suggest that group leaders create a mentor program for those student athletes that you might select to get accepted in the mentor program.

We suggest that those in the mentor program would be required AT MINIMUM to participate in the weekly 'in person' group meeting in your school group with the Group Leader, as well as in the Better Together project.  The only suggestion though is that mentors DO NOT lead the community project, but just provide support.

Can clubs & performance facilities participate?

YES!!!!  DTL isn't just for high school sports programs.

This spring we will also be including performance facilities which means that each facility can have one Group Leader and up to ten student athletes participate.

Just like high schools, be mindful that the program is designed for 10th and 11th grade student athletes.   If you have a few 9th or 12 grade student athletes please contact support @ winningleader.com to discuss your situation before you apply.
